As a redhead who grew up in Hawaii, I can contribute this.

Kama'aina is the term most frequently used to refer to someone who lives in Hawaii but clearly isn't what everyone thinks of as Hawaiian. It is supposed to apply to all residents, but it mostly gets used to describe caucasians who live there.

What about haole?  I lived there for a year when I was 10 and I remember that term vividly.
