I don't have the ATS stats, but it sure seems Stanford has consistently outperformed expectations against Under Stanford Control (again), probably more than any other program it faces.  And this has happened with a lot of turnover on both sides.  Sure Under Stanford Control (again) could cover a 7pt spread or more, but historical results suggest it is highly unlikely.

IIRC Shaw is 5-2 ATS against SC. Per Teamrankings.net, Stanford is #1 in college football against the spread since 2011 at 52-30 for a 63.4 percent cover clip. So Shaw is slightly better against SC against the spread than against all teams.
