these were the messages I got, that locked me out until this morning, for the past several weeks:
This ban is set to expire September 14, 2017, 11:09:02 am.
Sorry johnnyo53, you are banned from posting and sending personal messages on this forum.

so, for those of you who have been taking cheap shots at me out of your ignorance and my inability to answer back, perhaps it says more about you and your character, but it really doesn't matter.
i never received an formal explanation of what the ad hominem was, i believe threads have been censored or removed.Â
could it have been "snowflake"? i know for a fact i didn't call anyone a "cheese eating surrender monkey" or a "monstrosity".
that strikes me as particularly poor form for a virtue signalling group, but perhaps that's how you roll.
let me reiterate how i roll, as i bid you all adieu- i don't accept micromanaging, pc nonsense, and the inability to tolerate biting sarcasm and creative verbiage. so i'm not a good fit here
i can accept that some people who don't know me, or even if they do, disagree with my strongly held convictions and observations on anything, but football most particularly.
i don't particularly care if you think the game has passed me by, or if my mediocre CFL and NFL career are indicative of a general failure to have phd in football science or lack of continuing education therein. sit with me and some active and retired peers and you are quickly disabused of that notion. i see things on the field at game speed that most of you miss. i can extrapolate from a wide field of view and that game sense what is happening. some of it is pre-snap reads, time/down and distance, personnel knowledge, and tendency info, i am programmed for this stuff- i don't need an announcer to spin either the action or results. that is a result of experience and instincts honed in the crucible of the business that most of you have never experienced, even if you were lucky enough to get to D-1. those who make those statements about the game passing me by are easily disproved. i make my analysis and let the chips fall were they will. i don't jock for any coach or program when i analyze them. i look for problems, the reasons for them, and solutions. i tend to speak in terms of the downside risk and evaluate from that default forward. coaches are never satisfied, neither are players, that is part of our dna, so my tendency is default to the problems and worry over the downside risks. in the end, i'm a fan, but i try to be more objective. i want the best for program and athletes. occasionally i can give a sh*t about the coaches too. i have experienced and had relationship with, both college and NFL, and maintain great respect and love for- Willie Shaw. I have great respect for David Shaw. I find fault in everyone including myself, but these boards and our status as fans put us in the opinion business, and i don't apologize for my opinions, however, i do admit when i'm wrong. as rare as that is.
i have torn up Jim Harbaugh as well as David Shaw, and their assistants, as well as Stanford and other program coaches both past and present. i have greater restraint in my critiques for players, and coaches whose playing career i admire, but i don't admire every coach who ever played or coached.
i offer no apologies for my online persona. on tos, we carved out a niche and made some lifelong friends out of online enemies and strangers, many of whom come to our Chuck Taylor Grove tailgate to this day- whether to argue or agree, we share food and strong drink. we even have off season lunches. many of these people are present on this board or have recently become active here.
it is instructive that the initial post on my "time-out" generated 3X the views and comments of the average thread here. i guess that's a bad thing.
i find myself in good company with others who've had philosophical differences or personalities that were deemed no longer welcome- Garvin and Ferrari are the only two I know of.
i welcome those of you who've never met me to visit me in the Grove on game day, and introduce yourselves, whether we've sparred or not.
i will continue to post on TOS and probably re-emerge on The Cardinal Report where they've sponsored me in the past, and even ask me to participate in chat event with former Stanford greats (not me) and NFLers.Â
you think i'm taking my ball and going home? fine. i don't need the aggravation of having to play in a sandbox where trivial words are spun into petty butthurt controversies and the opportunity to criticize me without the opportunity to defend myself. the ALLCAPS complaints are hilarious to me.
i enjoyed some of the football minds on this board, there are some good ones here that i don't know and have never met, hope you come see me.Â
my style ain't for everyone, but i'm comfortable with it, and if you can't handle it, well, let me just let you have your safe space back.
adios THE DOC
