I don't know what "system" means. Andrew Luck is in a system. Matt Barkley is in a system. Chances are, if you're a good player, you're running a system.
Point taken on Moore. However, I'd note the Big 12 is tougher than the WAC. And of course .7 YPA difference, in Smith's case (to say nothing of the strength of schedule difference) is highly significant.
