...works for me. Is Rosen bad for UCLA? Arguably not. His sin is he hasn't led them to the Promised Land. Good. And, he's got a personality almost guaranteed to grate on some people. But his behavior has nothing to do with Stanford football. We made our choice(s) and Rosen wasn't chosen. Except for this kind of discussion, we haven't had to go through trying to reconcile why we passed on him. Not seriously. Had the bottom just fallen out of Stanford football or Rosen proved to be a runaway Heis-man favorite, then maybe we would be justified in continually raking over the debris of a bad, bad, bad choice when we didn't offer.Â
But none of that happened. Rosen was/is good. He's contributed to UCLA's improvement. We went another way and the sky didn't fall. Glad to see him lose to us. Glad to see UCLA lose to us. Now...what are we going to do about Petersen and UDub? Leach and Wazzu? A Kal team that has learned more about football than just how to tie their shoes?
