Sheesh. How about I hope I was wrong about Chryst and that he picks apart Utahs defense. I mean the degree to which people are certain that Chryst sucks and that him playing well is an impossibility is astounding. Like I get it, I also think Costello is better than Chryst based on the limited amount that I have seen them. And/but I dont preclude the possibility that my assessment of them is wrong. And certainly, whoever the starter is, I am not hoping for a quick hook, I am hoping he dazzles and doesnt need to get yanked.
As often, I agree with you here.

I also agree.
Quote:While this is certainly true, it was against a basically non-existent pass rush. The game was really no contest. It is equally true that Costello hasn't played against a good defense yet, so we have no data on that condition.
While I also think Costello should start, people here are willfully neglecting lots of stuff.
One thing I will mention is that Chryst's best games were better than Costello's best games so far. Go back and watch his performance against Oregon. He hit passes in small windows, did so repeatedly, and kept the offense moving up and down the field.
Quote:The problem of course is that was last year. Not sure he is back at that level right now. Hope so.I hope he is at least back to that level. My fear is that he is having trouble moving in the pocket, probably because of his knee, and that is causing the "bad Chryst", with balls in the dirt. Hopefully, we see none of that today!
