Why surprising... the NFL is littered with guys who lit it up in college and never adjusted to the faster and stronger game in the NFL.

Moreover, slowly but surely McCaffrey is improving.  He had his best game today, with 66 yards on 4.4 ypc and a TD rushing plus another 28 yards on 5 receptions receiving.  i think he now has three touchdowns in his last three games.  The tragectory is positive.

Also, according to Panthers fans their OL has been hot garbage this year. I know every team says that in the NFL, but Stewart's rushing ypc is something like 1.9, and it's not like he's a garbage back. Plus Newton started the year injured, etc.

Plenty of rookie RBs start off slow. The ones that explode are usually put into a better position than McCaffrey was early in the year.
