I now tend to agree that Love will play if he can (different than my earlier hold-out assumption).  And while I think it will be a straightforward calculation for him - if he's good enough to give it a go, he will - there are other considerations that we fans can raise.

Bowl games.  My current belief is that there are only two paths to avoiding the Foster Farms Bowl:  beating SC in CCG; or beating Votre Dame, and hope that SC beats WSU in CCG.  And even in latter scenario, I'm not sure 9-3 Stanford will get the nod for the Holiday Bowl.

After listening to the press conference, I think he will play, as well. I also think the players think more of this rivalry than we older alumni do. I'm a little more sanguine about our bowl opportunities.
