Well, sort of.
The season used to end the weekend before Thanksgiving with Big Game as the grand finale.
Once the season was extended to Thanksgiving weekend, Stanford and Cal decided that maintaining the weeks worth of activities was more important than making Big Game the final game of the season. [Stanford was particularly adamant, as Stanford shuts down for the whole week and students being from all over tend to go far away.] That was the death knell for Big Game as season finale.
Of course seasons now extend to one week after Thanksgiving, and at least the Big 12 when they didn't have a championship game played regular season games that weekend. So, presumably in the fantasy world without a Pac 12 championship game, Big Game could move back to its rightful, if belated, place in the schedule.
