Outside of the Red Zone, I would guess most people in even the shady side are neither students not alums. And even someone in the Red Zone perhaps could have snuck in. For the past 10 years, Stanford has been the most consistently successful football team in California, so I think it attracts a lot of general football fans.
Spiny, I was raised to judge a person by actions not affiliation.
I actually almost got into a bit of an altercation with a current LSJU student after the UW game due to him assaulting/berating my UW friend in the men's room (quite literally pushed my life long friend while at the urinal and asked "how does it feel to get pissed on by a tree). I told him to show some class in victory.
The young buck bowed up on me and said "old man I do not think you are a true fan, I will kick you ass, don't wear a Stanford shirt and defend a puppy fan." It ended with him being dragged from the lavatory by a friend.
Moral is, we all have bad eggs, I have just seen more bad eggs at ND games in my brief 45 years on the planet than almost any other game environment.

I am basing it on his apparent age, and the greek letters on his hat.
Heroism is not defined by one great act, but by a lifetime of right action.
