Streleski applied for a job as a sales clerk for the Emporium on Market in SF around 1989. My wife worked in personnel and called me because she couldn’t remember if he was the killer grad student.  We were sure it was him when his application included five years of unspecified maintenance work at a California correctional facility.  He didn’t get the job but I joked that he would have been fine as long as they kept him out of hardware and shoes.  I spend too much time around cops.
