I suspect the difference is in the Bryce Love performances. Love was pretty subdued the second time around, which made the overall performance pretty impressive. The first go-around Love, unhobbled, was superhuman -- and that "feels" like a worse offensive performance, since it's just one guy's genius propelling the train.
