Last time I bang that drum (I promise).
Besides, I fully expect an internal promotion for OC, followed by a newbie hire for the added spot. No ripples. Same 'ol, same 'ol. I might actually have to protest in my own little financial way, by buying fewer season tickets next year.
But for now, I'll continue to support the program, and look forward to seeing all of the fine Cardboard posters in San Antonio. Oh wait . . . what do you mean you're not going?
Always fun to revisit history! SU's '99 team won the P10 in what was arguably the weakest conference in the history of west coast football. That season was fluky, but in a good way. And nobody knows better than Todd Husak what happened in the Rose Bowl. That balanced, high scoring, pro-style offense spent many minutes on the sideline while Wisconsin's punishing, methodical ground attack controlled the clock and tempo. Final Score: Wisconsin 17 Stanford 9. Ironically, SU returned to the RB 13 years later and beat Wisconsin and Alvarez while running the Power O offense.
