Shaw is a star college coach.
And despite my lamenting of underperforming O, it's evident that Shaw is bright, he "gets" Stanford, and understands what a great gig he has here. I expect him to coach here at least through his youngest son's graduation, even while I also expect Stanford to revert to range of 8-4 (high) to 5-7 (low, hopefully) for many of the out years. And Shaw's legacy at Stanford will still be remarkable.
Of course, if Shaw hired an OC who could return that unit to the performance levels of circa 2000; well, Shaw might go down as one of the greatest (if not the greatest) college coach of all time.
