I would at least like to think that the voters have at least moderately more detailed stats: things like punts downed inside the 20, number of punts not returned, etc.

But, more likely you are correct.

By that gross yds/punt measure, I wouldn't necessarily make the case that the #8 guy should have made AA. But maybe the guy at Tennessee (#3 in yds/punt at 47.47) could be outraged at Wisnowsky (#16 at 44.24).
