He cut his thumb and kept running on a twisted ankle, hardly enough to consider him injury prone, which is mostly a BS concept since so many injuries are just chance and not correlated.
I think his toughness stands out much more, and I bet NFL teams noticed his production while not 100%, which is probably where a lot of NFL players operate.
In any case, I think Goose is right that if he comes back it won't be related to trying to go higher the next year.
