Still though, thinking longer term and unless this got changed in the recent tax system overhaul (which I don't think happened), Stanford pays up to 50% of the going rate of Stanford tuition/year for each child's undergrad tuition, if that child is attending an accredited college or university.
Thinking even further out, the university contributes up to 5% of base salary to a full-time employee's 403(b) savings, if the employee socks away a minimum 4% of base.
Recognizing I have no clue as to Earl's situation, for an average worker bee like me, these perks are pretty hard for a worker bee like me, and most of my co-workers at Stanford, to pass up. That said, I also wish him nothing but all the best, regardless.
