Except in this case, had we taken Josh Rosen 3 years ago, we would have had 1 QB every single year, and not prevented this problem.

Bottom line, we would still be going into Spring with no healthy quarterbacks.

Is it clear Rosen would've been the QB 3 years ago? Not clear to me Shaw would've offered him and it may have been someone else. We will never know.
Even if it had been Rosen, only one of Rosen or Costello would have played last season. If Rosen had played, then Costello would not have been injured, not needed surgery, and would be available for spring ball.
