It doesnt necessarily impede me athletically in so far as my mobility and strength arent restricted. However, there are certain activities that do cause me considerable pain after the activity, like running. The pain typically emerges three to six hours after the activity in question. I can easily see how Costello could have incurred this injury and played the rest of the season on it with some post-game and practice pain, and deciding to get it fixed after the season.
:( me too. had torn labrum and femoral acetabular impingment syndrome diagnosed last year after having persistent soreness in my hip after I had just started swimming again. did a few months of PT and it helped some but hip does get sore at times, sometimes just when sitting for a prolonged period of time.
surgery is the route to go if one wants a faster and more definitive fix
