The torn labrum is the logical conclusion based on the available data points. It was mentioned on another message board that if Costello had hip surgery, it was more than likely to fix a labrum tear.

I guess I would say we actually lack any data points about an injury, leaving torn labrum as the most likely possibility, given that Costello wasn't hurt in a game and played through the season. May be other things out there I just don't know about however. It could be something else, but no way to guess what.  In any case, we all hope he is doing well. It will be interesting to find out what it actually was, assuming we ever do.
