I would say it was a terrific tournament for the Cardinal, beating #4 seed Georgia and losing to #1 Wake Forest in an extremely close match. Both sets that Fawcett lost were 7-5 in the tiebreakers, which is about as close as you can get to winning without actually winning. The tournament clearly establishes us as a top 5 team.
UCLA (who we beat 2 weeks ago) made the finals and will play Wake Forest tomorrow; will be interesting to see how UCLA does.
