As it turns out, we haven't sniffed the Rose Bowl since Hogan left, and we missed on being able to watch a great QB play for us in 2016-2017.  What a pity...

I could’ve sworn Stanford was playing in and had a good chance to win a conference championship just five months ago, even with Bryce Love on one foot and a quarterback and d linemen both needing surgery. Granted, it was for the Cotton Bowl due to cfp bowl rotation, but still, 2017 was better than any JR team and should qualify for more than a “sniff.”. Any year winning the Pac 12 North (and Big Game) is a pretty good year.

I kinda like the guy but I like Costello more, with more qbs in the pipeline (though obviously not enough this spring)
