As of today's rankings, women's tennis is up to 20 (and the point totals for teams ranked , but the more important number is the team's conference record of 8-0. If they beat Cal on Friday, they'll clinch the regular-season crown and the top seed in the Pac-12 tournament, which will happen next week in Ojai, CA. (If they lose, they might still get the top seed, but they'd need to win a makeup match with Colorado to do that.) So, they'll certainly contend, but no guarantees they beat UCLA in the final, assuming both teams make it that far. Stanford won the first go-around 4-3, but it was at home rather than in the LA area, though we were also missing last year's lone All-American, Melissa Lord, for that match, so many of the singles matchups will be different than last time.
