I wonder if Meeks now wishes he had stayed in school.

No doubt he feels insulted. I hope he goes the Doug Baldwin route and uses it as a motivator to get better every day.

I spoke with a program insider and Meeks was told by Shaw and every one of his coaches - including Akina - as well as his family to stay at Stanford. He made this decision on his own, against the advice of all of those around him. I hope it works out for him but I also hope he learns to listen to advice from those who genuinely care about him.
