Only thing that hasn't been said about Meeks in this thread is that he had a fairly serious injury while at Stanford.

We all remember seeing him wearing a heavy knee brace as a corner, certainly not the most common sight at that position.

Plus, he saw his teammate Holder sustain a major knee injury this past fall.

It's easy to say Meeks made the wrong decision, but if he was worried about how another injury might completely derail any NFL hopes, then maybe he and his family (and us fans) can make peace with the outcome.
