I'm sure the Stanford Band thread is still up towards the top. There is a way to look up posts by an individual poster, but I've never done it and couldn't tell you how. If you go to the bother, you will see that I have expressed nothing but respect for Stanford. Sure, you will see some moronic posts, but every fan base has them and they are in a pretty small minority. Lots of love for Stanford over there.
I read the first 3 or 4 pages and the thread is pretty funny, actually. It starts off with a post which, in its entirety, says "Ive [sic] never been so pissed before at a band." People who weren't there are asking what everyone's so worked up about and the people who were there are insisting the band insulted their state but couldn't describe the insults because they didn't hear it or see it. By the 3rd page or so, this leads to posts like
Quote:So can you explain it or is what happened in Glendale some of extremely large proportions f'ing secret?and
Quote:What happens in Glendale stays in Glendale...
And of course, those upset about the insults were insulting the LSJUMB...
The only specific complaint was that the band kept playing while their alma mater was being played and during the rest of the award ceremony. And I agree with them on that -- I'd be upset over that too (although perhaps not to the extent some on that board seem to be).

I'm pretty sure the two quotes you used were in jest more than anything.
And please disregard that thread. It jumped the shark when someone compared the Stanford band to the Westboro Baptist Church. Some people just can't enjoy a win.
What a thrilling game. Sorry you guys had to come out on the short end, but someone had to and I'm glad it wasn't my team. Win the Pac-12 next year and maybe (just maybe) we'll see you again!
