Congratulations to Josh Garnett!  He overcame his injury, and ultimately proved himself to the Niners coaches enough to be named the starting RG for the San Francisco 49ers! He will play next to rookie Mike McGlinchey.  So Stanford and Notre Dame playing side by side.

Such a bummer about McKinnon's ACL, but effective RBs in the NFL are usually one of the easier positions to fill.  Though in Shanahan's offense, they need to be good receivers, which is less easy to find.

I've been looking around for news on this, and I can't find confirmation that Garnett beat out Person to start. What's your source? The official depth chart on the team website shows Person over Garnett at RG. To be clear, though, I want you to be right!
