I wasn't saying that he was throwing Carburry under the bus or anything like that. But he is implicitly acknowledging that the new coach is part of the problem, even while saying it is "not just" him.
Consider the following responses to this question from a reporter:
"You had some controversial calls go against you in the fourth quarter. To what extent do you think the officiating played a role in your loss tonight".
If the coach answers, "It wasn't just the officiating. I thought we didn't react well to adversity, and I was disappointed we didn't bounce back better." then he is implicitly saying "yeah, the officiating played a role". Yeah, it's not quite as saying, "Yeah, the refs robbed us when they ruled that touchdown to not have been a catch", but it's not exactly a denial either.
