I'm talking to some OSU fans here in the airport and it seems that you guys are right about them being fresh meat and not getting it.  I forget that OSU was not part of the old southwest conference, which had the Rice Mob.  I would think the older UT or A&M fans would probably understand what these kinds of bands are about. 

As one young lady told me "It was just rude.  I know we aren't Stanford but geeze".

As an older female fan told me "The Fiesta Bowl needs to ban them", to which I repllied "I'd love for us to be such regulars to BCS bowls that that threat would be a serious matter."  To which she laughed.

If we disrupted their award ceremony after the game, that does seem a bit much, but it sounds like our pregame was pretty normal.
