Yeah .... They should have toned it down during the awards.
But, we know these guys well enough to guess what was happening. The band has a long standing practice of playing a post game concert after important games win, lose or draw. If they felt they were being asked to stop 'cuz some of the music might bleed over onto someone's post-game wrap then I can see the request being ignored.Â
But then I've NEEDED that post game concert after more than a couple of big losses (BG 2009 for one) so I'm cutting 'em some slack. Since when did an OSU celebration a field away become untouchably sacred (and also so very fragile that the distant chorus of "Yellow River" would tarnish it?). I'm thinking some of this outrage sounds a little puffed up.
