Really happy for Jones. Always had the feeling she was a Stanford lean. Less so for the proximity to family / high school but mainly because she seemed like a Stanford student, someone who was excited about going to a great community of thinkers and being surrounded by classmates who will go on to start tech companies, find cures for cancer and win nobel prizes. There was a passage in the ESPN article that eluded to that:
The diversity of the campus is something that excites Jones. "Having diversity is really important for personal growth," Jones said. "You get to hear all of these different perspectives on important issues discussed in college. It's such an amazing opportunity to be immersed in this community."
