I've got that idea, yes. That's why I asked him what he thought the offseason checklist for the team should be, and he answered like he's gonna be a part of it. (while inadvertently outing Kaden's future plans!)
So as of now, I think he's back. But that's speculation on my part
Good reference. I listened to K.J.'s quote on Troy's "Treecast" podcast in the car today. Troy is being conservative in his comments here, as journalists ought to do. But if you listen to the the primary source, it's pretty clear that K.J. is not planning to leave, at least not currently. He went through a very detailed punch-list of off-season work that needs to be done. He talked about the up-and-coming receivers and the work that they need to do together. As noted by Troy, he even inadvertently divulged Kaden's departure, which now proved to be correct. He was in a straightforward and forthcoming mode, and it did not at all sound like he was leaving, although he had every opportunity to hedge his response.
Of course, anything can change until January 14. But I think K.J.'s response was a clear indicator of his current mindset.
