Three poor coaches in a row.
I know we can’t expect to be as good as Liberty.
And this is why the whining about Shaw and football after we go 9-4 gets tiresome. I remember similar whining about Montgomery after early exits in the tournament.
Sometimes you don't know how good you have it until its gone and you go through a Teevens/Harris period (or a Johnson/Dawkins/Haase period).
That being said, I'm still hoping that we're rushing to judgment on Haase and he turns it around.

Sorry I will have to disagree. The success that both Montgomery & Shaw have had was unprecedented in Stanford history, but at the same time it also showed that it was possible and not just as an occasional aberration.
For the past three seasons, the football program has been nowhere close to the previous five seasons. That's the problem with success - once you have it, it's expected to be achieved regularly. If an 8-4 or 7-5 regular season was the norm, this season would have been acceptable. But it isn't the norm any more, and the talent on this roster was better than that. Moreover, there are specific coaching decisions that cost them at least one if not two wins.
Regarding Haase, expectations are not Montgomery-esque. But they are certainly higher than this team is achieving and it's not even close. This is year 3 - by now we should be seeing progress toward something better and it's not happening.
