In the three games leading up to last night's, Beck had allowed four runs in nine innings.
That doesn't alarm me.
A pitcher faces the top of an opponents order in the first inning
and has to be perfect to avoid it in the third inning;
not easy being perfect through three for anyone, of course.
Beck allowed only five walks in his first 44 innings this season,
but has given up six in his last 21+.
Not as precise lately but he's giving us at least five innings each time.
