The Beavs are doing neither themselves nor the conference any favours by collapsing selectively against their non-conference opponents.
The Beavs are now 1-9 in their last 10 non-conference games.*
The Beavs are 14-1 in conference over the exact same time frame.
Until this weekend I would have said this was likely reflective of a shallow pitching staff, but now their weekend guys just went 0-3.
* One of those non-conference losses was a midweek game versus Oregon. So that might still be connected to lack of pitching depth, but doesn't kill the whole conference's RPI in the same way. If you prefer, they went 1-8 non-conference opponents and 14-2 against Pac 12 opponents over the same time frame.
