Williamson at SS weighing only 201 is a serious problem too. Who's gonna stop a 220lb+ RB if he gets past the LBs? Nobody, that's who.
Pryts at ILB at 225 is also concerning. Maybe he teams better with Robinson and this way they can rotate as pairs with Miezan & Magnum-Farrar
No Speights on the 2-deep is concerning. Surprised he wasn't listed as an OR with Maddox. I wonder if there's something to read into that?
This team can beat NU but this 2-deep isn't very deep and after 12 games I worry what it's going to look like especially at OL.
Not to interrupt the hand-wringing, but most teams only have 7 OL they really feel good about playing. When Bragg is available, that will be 8 who can probably play at a decent level if need be for Stanford. That's plenty in a routine year for most teams.
If Pryts is starting it probably means he's pretty good in pass coverage and has good speed. Being a converted Safety, makes sense.
Safeties are more like CBs these days given the rules changes that place a heavier emphasis on pass coverage than hitting. Williamson had played OK as a Frosh CB, but being a physical player is ideally suited to Safety.
I'm far more concerned with the fact Andres Fox isn't on the depth chart - though I believe he will play - than anyone actually on the depth chart. Pass rush is so important, the coaches have raved about Fox, and moved him to OLB ostensibly to play, but he's not on the depth chart?
