My daughter dislocated her knee cap in high school. Granted, she was a basketball player and didn't have to put the torque on her knee in the same way a 300-pound offensive lineman would, but she was able to work through it with physical therapy. One thing I learned then, though, is that like most injuries, there's a wide range of expectations for recovery time. Sometimes the knee cap will slide out of place and then immediately back in. This is the best case scenario. For my daughter, the knee cap remained out of place until we got to the hospital, which led to more damage and a longer recovery. So for Little, we'll see him when we see him.
