I note "veteran" is in quotes, as it should be. Shaw can start a player for a maximum of four years, usually less. Walsh had players who had 10 or more years in the league. It is a lot easier to tell that a guy is slipping when you have a real calibration on what he could do. Shaw has no veterans. He has very inexperienced players and inexperienced players. I think the two situations are so different that there is no way to meaningfully compare them.
