Mills did great against UW. Is he "better" than KJ? Hard for us fans to really know. Hopefully, the coaches know better than we do, and will make a "correct" call. Unfortunately, UCLA's defense will probably not be the best barometer of who is "better". KJ may start, play well, and still not be the better QB. Or visa-versa.
Well my thought :)
I really like what Mills showed us on Saturday. He didn't miss many chances. Mills also passes the "eye test" better than KJ. However, he had more opportunities to do well that KJ did, IMHO. Our receivers really showed up against UW, more than in any previous game. KJ has also played very well at times. He may not look as good, but he has won a lot of games. That counts. I think that if both are healthy, KJ starts. That is what Shaw does. That won't change unless Shavita is really convinced that Mills is significantly better. The next game can always be explained as "being extra careful with KJ", but if he is told that they want to make a change, it is hang on as #2 and grad transfer at the end of the season.
