Terry's breakdown is good, but I think there's a precise moment at which the Tedsel broke down: the Oregon State game in 2007. That's when the team regularly started disappointing, and I think that experience broke him emotionally. I may be speculating, but my guess is that T.edford thought, "If I can't break through with Aaron Rodgers, and I can't break through in the craziest year in college football ever, when exactly am I going to break through?"
Since then, 59ers have been 59erin' it up. It's not as if they've lacked for talent since then--they've had high preseason expectations that have been unmet, and the NFL's taken a fair number of their players. Something's gone wrong in the middle, and its name is probably T.edford.
