One issue that hasn't been discussed much is that the 49ers are optimized to be a good weather team.  They have ridiculous team speed, their success is tied to sophisticated timing of the offense, their lines are slightly smaller but more agile than their opponents.

It's not a coincidence that the Niners beat the woeful Redskins (3-9) by just a 9-0 score in the middle of a historic downpour.  If the Niners and the Ravens meet in Miami for Super Bowl 2020, I think the Niners win by two TDs.

Not so fast. Apparently the last time it rained during a Super Bowl, the game was in Miami. . . .

Miami averages 7 days of rain in February, so 25% chance.  And total rainfall averages 2.3".  So the odds of a downpour equivalent to those during the Ravens or Redskins games are minimal.
