From a career perspective, I think Shaw would be wise to consider it. When he first became head coach, he touted his NFL experience, and it probably did help a lot. The problem is that his approach seems to be getting stale and falling behind the times (just my opinion, please don't banish me to the gripe thread) and being around new blood, new ideas, new people, etc. would probably do him a world of good as a head coach.
And, after Alabama obliterates Michigan out of Frustration Unknown to Mankind, maybe there will be some surprises on the coaches carousel....
