Shaw supposedly just signed an extension. His agent’s work is done for a couple years.

More like for 7 years, if the rumors are correct?

Yes, but the contract will not be allowed to run down to fewer then three years before it’s extended again.  So, in two or three years, the agent will have to start working to set the stage with how desirable Shaw is.

Hopefully by then Shaw will be negotiating from a position of strength and his record will be able to do the talking.
