Luke Kaumatule was moved from TE to DE, then redshirted to move to OLB, then back to DE. The move to OLB made no sense and hindered his development, and I was furious since I know him personally. One of the nicest and most genuine people on the planet.
Harrington did play a non-negligible number of snaps, but IIRC it wasn't as many as you'd think. (Don't know the number off-hand.) Yes, he rarely ran routes.
