Alas I agree with BC. I have been attending since 1953 and got a scoreboard shoutout for my 65 year Big Game streak. I never turned down work but I made an exception for BG.
What bothers me most is Shaw’s reliance on stuff that doesn’t work anymore. Plus there is the Lefevre Theory of the French Revolution to consider. Not a revolt so much because of horrid conditions but one of rising expectations.
During the successful years Shaw could have done even better but his stubbornness cost him some wins particularly the MSU Rose Bowl. This past season could be summed up by the fourth and one on the last BG possession.
So now I sit in Septuagenarian mode and wonder whether I will reup for another rodeo. It is a big effort from where I live and I make it on eight Sundays to Santa Clara anyway hanging on to my trade for a bit as I fade away. I may just opt to head over to Davis and watch my cousin’s kid play for UCD.
And BC shouldn’t this thread be put into the outer planet sphere of the Stanford Sucks solar system?
