I can't remember who, but there was someone who had played part of one season before being injured, and part of another season before being injured, and the NCAA granted a medical 5th year by effectively saying she lost a season between the two partial seasons. Critically her combined total number of games played was many more than the 6 games Wilson played her freshman year, so I feel like there's a reasonable case, especially given Wilson's other injury issues her sophomore year - she played a combined 27 games between her first two years on the Farm, which is less than a full season, so I think she has a plausible case. No insight as to whether she wants one and/or whether the coaches are encouraging her to seek one. Whether and who else commits in the 2021 class alongside Demetre might help answer that question.
Maybe I am delusional, but I think at a chalk talk very early this year someone asked about Anna and the answer was that she was waiting on an appeal. I hope I am not misremembering--maybe someone else who goes to chalk talks can confirm that I heard this correctly.
A couple of years ago there was an article about her, but it sheds no light on her intentions:

Quote:Stanford head coach Tara VanDerveer is pessimistic that Wilson will get the year back, saying the rule “seems rigid.”
She said Wilson “has a tremendous upside as a point guard. She’s athletic, heady and she has a good three-point shot.”
She doesn’t know whether Wilson will want a fifth year. Wilson doesn’t know, either.
“It’s a decision I don’t have to make for a long time,” she said in the locker room in Dallas after Stanford lost to South Carolina in the national semifinals on March 31. “It’s something I’m taking my time with.” But, she said, “I think about it every single day.”
