These are the schools Brady Quinn suggested as possible landing spots for him:
- Georgia (if Fromm leaves for NFL)
- LSU
- Washington (If Eason leaves for NFL)
- Oregon
- Wazzu
- Michigan
- Michigan State
- Miami
This list of schools suggests Costello is thought of very highly in college football circles.
That list suggests Brady Quinn thinks highly of him. . . .
Costello will get interest from several good landing spots. His best option would be a team that expects to be very good next year but is short a QB. I think most of the teams in the above list expect to have some other issues besides QB. If you don't expect to meet or exceed the fan's expectations, it is politically better to do that with a Freshman who you are developing than a transfer who is "one and done". KJ is clearly a very good player, probably the best transfer QB out there AFAIK. However, in his situation, the "up-side" of his abilities doesn't matter. It is next year and only next year. In the "right" situation, he will be great. Let's just hope that situation exists.
I might add Northwestern - which just extended scholie to Stanford legacy C-Richardson - because NW had really poor QB play last season, and I don't think anyone untried is waiting in the wings.
