Harbaugh was Moses to Stanford. This isn't backyard knee football. Sure glad that Ike went for the throat in Europe and that Harballs did while in Paly.

Yeah. Mr. Nice Guy was not going to get the program turned around from the Buddy/Wlat disaster.

Yeah, like there's no difference between "Mr. Nice" and going for a 2-point conversion just so you could drop a 50-spot on an already-beaten opponent.  That's not "nice" or "not nice" - that's just being a dick.  Period.  [And lest you forget, Stanford later exceeded the 50-point threshold with another TD . . .].

SC history is loaded with 50+ point games with RBs and WRs partying in the end zone.  

I wasn’t a classy move but SC’s outrage was a bit much.   

Stanford didn’t pass late in that game, so running up the score happened because SC couldn’t stop the run even when they knew the next play would be another run. 

I remember listening to the SC post-game in my car after that game.   People were claiming Carroll was unable to coach the talent.  Had to retire.  Themes that sounded crazy to me but appeared to be the norm on the show. 

Carroll left at the end of that season and those SC fans got what they deserved, one of the worst decades for SC football.
