I'm really surprised Alabama commit QB Bryce Young is only 180 pounds. I never imagined I would see the day Nick Saban would want a 180 pound QB. The game has really changed a lot. There is no doubting there is now a premium on athleticism over size at the QB position. Of course, ideally you want both, but the "prototypical 6-5 230 pound QB" is a thing of the past unless he can run like Josh Allen, Trevor Lawrence, or Tanner McKee. Otherwise, it's give me Russell Wilson or Kyler Murray instead.
Yeah I was wondering why Humphries wasn't in this game.
Didn't realize he had been selected but didn't play.
Wonder if he is still feeling the effects of the wrist injury he suffered in the playoff semifinals.
He played in the final game so it couldn't have been too serious.
BTW as I posted elsewhere E.J. Smith and Josh Karty played in the Under Armour All Star Game.
Smith reportedly played well, but I couldn't find any specific statistics.
Karty attempted two field goals. Made one from 45 and missed one (wide) from 54.
