I actually wish the University statement was along the lines of: “It is always tragic when a young person dies. We ask you respect the family's privacy.”
Nothing more. Absent foul play - how or why he died is none of our business. If the parents blame the Univ or someone else, well that’s different. Absent that, let the family and friends grieve in peace.
